Why True Detective was so hard to understand

This is hilarious. If only we had put the closed captions on, maybe I wouldn’t have had to write my snarky letter to Pizzolatto.

(Sorry, no airplane coverage today. When CNN starts speculating about the supernatural, it’s time to take a break.)

    Oh, they (and you) are really pushing my buttons this time! That’s why they have videotape (or whatever they call it now)! So you can watch it two or three times and translate the dialect. I’ve decided that none of the plot was true, even in the fictional context. No women and children were killed; no crimes committed. It was all a form of Javanese Wayang, choreographed to reveal Cohle’s psyche. Seriously.
