Garden sturm und drang

IMG_2026I don’t know why they call it Late Blight, since it started when the tomato plants were just a few feet high. They died from the bottom up, producing a few black-spotted tomatoes here and there. My little baby limas got eaten by sow bugs as soon as they tried to stick their heads out; but finally struggled up three plantings later.

But cut the black spots off, shell the limas, and think how great this picture will look come January.
