St. John’s Eve

On St. John’s Eve you can build a bonfire and leap over it, either to get yourself a husband or, if you already have a husband, to cure disease. Tomorrow is the feast of St. John the Baptist, the only saint whose feast is on the day he was (supposedly) born (this is because he’s also the only saint born without sin (except for Mary, of course, but I don’t think she’s considered a saint)) instead of the day he died (but never fear, in August they celebrate his head on a platter).
